1:00 pm - 4:00 pm Site Visit to NSW Smart Shuttle Trial - Sydney Olympic Park
Transport for NSW have partnered with HMI Technologies, Telstra, NRMA Motoring and Services, Sydney Olympic Park Authority and IAG in trailing a highly automated (Level 4) passenger shuttle. The trial is the first precinct-based trial of an automated shuttle in Australia. Outcomes from the trial will inform:
- How automated vehicle technology can improve the mobility of customers and interact with other people within the precinct
- The supporting technology and infrastructure needed to operate an automated shuttle
- How automated vehicles interact with other precinct users and integrate with the broader transport network
Attendees will get the opportunity to experience the automated shuttle and speak with a member of the project team.
